as telcos recycle prepaid / disconnected cell numbers, ppl are bound to get 'wrong numbers' (which were earlier due to the mechanical dialing process!), a colleague recently did and came up with 'wot place is 0236'
after some efforts i landed with
BSNL's std code to location mapper

can use this to lookup locations from std codes (India)

a little forward on how a chap got severe burns cos of overheating got me finally towards this link:

had forgotten the word for 'attention to detail'!
neat thing. come to think of it, isnt much work once you have google apis.. or is it?
